Certified Stop The Bleed Training

Program Origin & Development: The program was developed by the Department of Defense, inspired by military trauma care and the need to respond to life-threatening bleeding quickly. Stop the Bleed enhances public preparedness in emergencies, from battlefield to everyday situations.

The course will place emphasis on the personal defense realm so come prepared with your handgun/rifle and gear (optional) for field exercises.  There is no prerequisite for this class and all are welcome to attend.   We will be issuing Nationally recognized certificates for First Aid, CPR, AED, and Stop the Bleed.

In this 4-hour class you will learn:

First Aid / CPR / AED

How To Find and Identify the Bleed

– Identify life-threatening bleeding & assess the scene.

– Recognize different types of bleeding: arterial, venous, and capillary.

– Expose wounds safely to assess severity & locate hidden injuries.

Hemorrhage Control Techniques

– Apply direct pressure using hands or cloth until bleeding stops.

– Properly use commercial tourniquets on limbs when needed including on yourself in the field

– Learn wound packing techniques to control deep bleeding.

– Combine methods like pressure, packing, and tourniquets as required.

Commercial & Improvised Equipment

– Use standard trauma kit items: tourniquets, dressings, pressure bandages.

– Create improvised solutions with belts, cloth, and available
