308 Tactical is a team of professional instructors who are authorized by the Sheriff Department of Los Angeles, Ventura, and Kern Counties. We have experience in SWAT, military, and executive protection. We are professionals with a passion for sharing our knowledge and training to others, especially when protection and safety is of primary concern.
Our Team
Certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, NRA Training Counselor.
Will is President and lead instructor at 308 Tactical. He has been teaching civilians, law enforcement, military, and govt for the past 15 years in various disciplines of firearm techniques, tactics and safety in handgun, rifle, precision rifle, shotgun, taser, OC, and other less-lethal disciplines.
He is a certified DOJ, NRA and Law Enforcement Handgun and Rifle instructor, NRA Training Counselor, Taser, and Concealed Carry Permit instructor in CA, CO, AZ, UT, FL,TX and OR.
During his off-time, he provides executive protection services for high profile clients.
Certified Handgun and Rifle Instructor.
Paige currently leads and assists with handgun and rifle courses, and is instrumental in guiding our females and younger groups. She is a certified DOJ Instructor and NRA Pistol, Rifle, CCW, PPITH, PPOTH Instructor and CRSO.
Certified Concealed Carry Instructor.
Paul currently assists with handgun and rifle courses. Paul is a certified DOJ Instructor and NRA CCW, Pistol, Rifle Instructor, and Chief Range Safety Officer. During his spare time, you can find him on the range perfecting his skills.
Certified Handgun and Rifle Instructor.
Michelle currently assists with handgun and rifle courses. Michelle is a certified DOJ Instructor and NRA CCW, Pistol, Rifle Instructor, and Chief Range Safety Officer. During her spare time, you can find her on the range perfecting her skills.
Assistant Handgun & Rifle Instructor
Hayden currently assists with handgun and rifle courses, and is instrumental in guiding our younger groups. He is a certified DOJ Instructor and NRA Pistol & Rifle Instructor and CRSO. During the daytime, Hayden can be found managing the mobile range for LASD.
Security and Executive Protection team
Steven currently leads our Security and Executive Protection team. He also assists with handgun courses.
Steven has 35 years of tactical medicine and law enforcement experience, including Tactical Helicopter Operations with the highest medical care that can be delivered in the State of California. He has spent over 10 years teaching tactical medicine to Police and Fire Departments in the Southern California Area. Steven also recently added a clearance through the FBI and Infraguard and serves as a local Terrorism Liaison Officer.
Steven’s certificates include DOJ, BSIS, Law Enforcement, Baton, Taser, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA Pals Instructor.
Team Lead, Rifles
Dan is currently the SWAT team lead and assistant Rangemaster for his local police department. He has an extensive background in military, explosives, and various firearms training disciplines. He has trained with many of the top firearms instructors in the country.
Dan is our team lead for all Precision Rifle courses.
Certified LTC Instructor-Tecas
Marty carries with him vast years of experience in Law Enforement and SRT operations training and tactics. He is a certified LTC (License to Carry) instructor in TX. He is a certified NRA Pistol, Rifle, CCW Instructor and CRSO.
During his off-time, he provides executive protection services for high profile clients.
DOJ, NRA, CRSO, CCW
Mike currently assists with our CCW program. He is a certified DOJ, NRA Handgun and Rifle instructor, CRSO, and Concealed Carry Permit instructor in CA, CO, AZ, UT, FL, and OR. He also assists with handgun, rifle, and precision courses.
We provide Concealed Carry and Firearms Courses. We’ve recently added Firearms Sales to assist our customers better. We teach beginners to advanced students proven safety, technique, and defensive tactics for modern handguns, rifles, and shotguns as well as provide concealed carry permit training, safety and certificates for many states. We find today that most gun owners lack the proper safety, handling, and defensive skills necessary to protect themselves, yet alone their family. A firearm can be a dangerous liability, even for the gun owner, if there is no training. It’s just not as simple as pressing the trigger and knocking a can off the fence. Too often we hear “I finally purchased a gun for my home protection”, when they really should have started with a class first, and purchased a firearm second!
We believe professional training should be a requirement of all gun ownership and use. Our training concepts always start with safety. Techniques, concepts, and tactics are built upon common principles that we imbed into your muscle memory, much like riding a bicycle. They become subconscious efforts. We break old habits and replace them with proven ones. We focus on the individual at every level, not the group. Multiple instructors are present for larger groups. We have several ranges and classrooms in many states, many with special access to non-public facilities. Some of our classroom only courses can be at your home or office, given the group is large enough. If you are lucky enough to have your own range, we can conduct any class we offer there.
